The clinical chemistry and immunodiagnostics field is a cornerstone of our business, as evidenced by our sales of sialic acid tests that are based on the enzymatic method—the first of its kind in the world. We have specialized in developing the technology involved and in expanding our product offerings. We supply a wide range of clinical diagnostic reagents, such as the “Runpia Liquid” series (based on an enzyme immunoassay and used for biochemical testing) and the “Runpia Latex” series (based on a latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay). For use with those kits, we also offer calibrators and reference standards.
With a view to assist in preventive medicine development and optimal patient management, technological developments in rapid-diagnosis testing have been crucial. We first started offering immunochromatographic test kits in 2007, and in 2019, we launched a new product, “Q-Line Kyokuto Noro”. In developing point-of-care testing platform, we are currently accelerating research and development efforts to establish stable production technology for monoclonal antibodies that can be adapted to various products.
